Inkjet Technology for Décor Printing
An introduction to a powerful technique
Wednesday 1 September 2021
Munich, Germany
Course Focus
Inkjet technology has great promise as an enabler for digital décor printing. Digital printing allows manufacturers to produce designs on demand, reducing time to market and printed stock while allowing much greater design flexibility and range. However, the technology meets significant challenges in décor printing, including ink costs and printer availability, speed and reliability, as well as issues with colour management and metamerism. This course aims to introduce all of the key technology areas, explaining the challenges and addressing the solutions being developed by the industry.
Presented by Tim Phillips of IMI Europe and Catenary Solutions, with contributions from Frank de Jonge, Adphos, and Oliver Guth, ColorGATE, the course is designed to bring members of the decorative surface community up to speed on the potential and challenges of using inkjet technology for décor printing.
